My Photo in Spanish National Geographic Traveler Magazine

I’m only a hobbyist photographer, and a haphazard one at that. When we lived in France, I took quite a few photos with our Canon 550d EOS. I’m such a casual photographer, in fact, that I had to go look up model of our camera.

So, I was surprised and delighted to learn that Viajes National Geographic–the Spanish edition of their Traveler magazine–wanted to use one of my photos of the Canal du Midi. This one:

As it happens, it’s probably my favourite photo of the canal. I use it as a background in a number of online profiles, and let my barge-operating friends use it on their site.

In any case, I’m grateful to the photo editor who found it online and contacted me–it’s always fun to see your photo in print somewhere.
