Via Beth, I discovered the cleverly-named The Pink Seats, a blog ‘dedicated to the colourful side of sports’. They recently wrote about how it would be a slow year for Vancouver’s puck bunnies:
Rory Fitzpatrick – Rory and wife Tracey have four kids: Hannah (8), Brady (5), Conner (3) and Rory (1).
Matt Cooke – Matt and his wife Michelle have two daughters, Gabby and Reece and a son named Jackson.
Henrik Sedin – Henrik married his girlfriend Johanna this past summer.
Of the 22 starters, only one is definitely single and two others are, uh, status unknown. It’s not good news for the gold diggers, either, because none of the available players are exactly top earners.
Hockey players tend to marry young. I’ve always assumed that it’s because they mostly come from small towns.

I’ve noticed the same thing (years ago) in Montreal – all married, all married young, with lots of kids. I’m not too sure that in reality it changes anything for the puck bunnies, though…
