Via Waxy, here’s a preview of the Fantastic Four preview (the trailer has been removed, see below). Some of the trailer is still watermarked and there’s some unfinished CG, so clearly this is a working copy, but it looks fairly complete. For a big-budget superhero flick, the cast is remarkably unknown (Jessica Alba is the only really recognizable name). The film was shot this spring is being shot in Vancouver (thanks, Filmgoerjuan).
Waxy reports that this movie will suck. Given the hit and miss nature of the genre, that’s a definite possibility. I was never a big Fantastic Four reader growing up–they seemed kind of old-school for my tastes.

Ang Lee’s The Ice Storm (1997) uses the Fantastic Four as a motif throughout the movie.
Actually, they’re still shooting this in town. I came across some sets in September and a friend saw them shooting a big action scene down by Hastings and Burrard a couple of weeks ago.
Yep they’re shooting every night at Hastings & Burrard between 6pm and 6am. It’s right outside my office building and when I want to come in early I can’t get to parking until after 6. Right now they have the area transformed to look like NYC. If you come down here there is a fake subway station, a condo-for-sale sign on the Marine Building, and NYC banners on all the lamp posts. It’s been like this for a few weeks.
