A Belated and Brief Report From Barcamp Dublin

Barcamp PanelLast Saturday I attended Barcamp Dublin, where I gave a session called “Social Media Marketing: How I Learned to Love the Mob” and sat on a panel. Though we got into Ireland on Thursday evening, I was still fairly jetlagged. I think my talk went okay (people came up to talk to me afterward–usually a good sign), but I didn’t have a lot of social fuel left over to chat with fellow attendees.

Eoin has a good summary of my talk on Cearta.ie, and there are links from my talk on Capulet’s site.

The venue was gorgeous. Barcamp Dublin was held at the Digital Exchange, a part of the Digital Hub and formerly part of the Guinness Breweries. The interior was a happy marriage of period features and modern amenities, and the main auditorium had a really warm feeling about it.

Congratulations to Joe and Elly and all the other organizers for putting on a great event.
