I’m trying out this new WordPress plugin, charmingly entitled What Would Seth Godin Do (found via Dosh Dosh). It uses a cookie to display a message to new site visitors, inviting them to stick around by subscribing to your RSS feed and so forth. It’s a clever idea, and simple to implement.
Unfortunately, if you’re a regular reader, you’re going to have to temporarily put up with the message for your next two visits. After that, it should go away. If it doesn’t, let me know.
Apparently version 1.1 of this plugin will differentiate between the front page and internal archive pages, which makes a lot of sense.
UPDATE: This might be a bit buggy, so it may not work as advertised. I’m trying to troubleshoot.
Hi Darren, sorry to hear that the plugin isn’t working on your site (cooking not incrementing). If you find the bug, I’ll be happy to update it. I’ll check into it myself as well.
Must’ve been a beta…
Also, is it supposed to go between the post title and text? Had the effect of making me not read the title. With the box and all, it would surely be read by most if it were above the title.
The first time I meet this ideal from your article, so I will try to understand your topoint for it.Sometimes new way to the truth for it. ah. isn’t it?
