A Discussion Forum for North and South Pender Islands

Goodbye, PenderLike, a year and a half ago, I asked you, my dear readers, to help me come up with a name for an online discussion forum for the Pender Island. The winning candidate was PenderBender.com, which I have finally gotten around to setting up:

When we were exploring the Gulf Islands, and North Pender in particular, I had a lot of questions about all aspects of island life. Being a blogger, online marketer and general Internet guy, I went looking for a discussion forum for Pender. I couldn’t find an active one, so I built my own.

I’ve got a selfish motivation for this site–I’ve still got plenty of questions that I’d like answered. I’m hoping other people will have questions to ask, and answers to provide.

Yep, it’s another Bryght site. It intentionally has a bare minimum of theming and styling, because the site has a potential audience of roughly 2000–the population of both Pender Islands.

This is probably only of interest to Tris, who is, I suspect, the only Pender Island resident who might read tthis site.

The next time I’m over on Pender, I’m going to post a notice on the notice board in the little shopping mall they’ve got on the island. I also ordered some Moo cards  which I’ll try to hand out to some locals.

  1. My family used to have a cabin on South Pender, so I was over there every second weekend or so. Haven’t been back in a while, but I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately.
