Where are the Swedish Hockey Fans?

I got up at 7:00 AM this morning to watch the Canada-USA semi-final of the annual IIHF World Junior Hockey tournament. It’s often the best, most exciting hockey I watch every year.

There’s currently no score early in the second period, in case you’re wondering. The teams are very evenly matched, and it’s a rip-roaring affair.

I know it’s Wednesday afternoon in Leksand, Sweden, where the game’s being played, but there appears to be less than 5000 people in the arena. Where are all the Swedish hockey fans?

Last year I attended the World Juniors here in Vancouver. The afternoon semi-final games all sold out. Maybe the ticket prices are too high in Leksand?
