Via Waxy.org, here’s a pretty cool mashup video from a driving game. It’s from a game called Trackmania. I haven’t heard of it.
Of course, if cars aren’t your thing, how about 99 wolves crashing into a big pane of glass?
Avoiding more pressing matters since 2020

Dude!
I saw the driving video earlier this morning via a friend’s livejournal but the wolves are completely brand new to me.
That’s some hella genius art you have found sir, and I salute you!
A friend sent me on that cars one. I don’t think it’s so great, after seeing a few of them crash its repetitive and boring.
I have to agree with Johnny K, it looks like some people trying to justify playing games on a really big computer. The way the initial car splits kinda reminds me of Revenge of Doh (my arcade timesink in Jr High), but after that it’s just silly. Or maybe it’s the game that’s silly in that the physics of cars flying through the air are somewhat respected (though they seem to tweak gravity and/or time), but not the effects of crashes.
The more I think about the computational side of it, handling the interactions of 1,000 objects (for example in the “traffic jam”) is slightly impressive and I guess it means they have a cool game engine. I just can’t see how it makes playing the game with 2-10 cars any better.
