As regular readers know, I’ve written a play which is being produced at the Victoria and Vancouver Fringe Festivals. We’d like to get some bloggers out to see the show, and I’ve got four sets of free tickets for that very purpose. Here’s the deal:
- You live in Victoria.
- You’ve got a blog.
- You email me at darren [at] darrenbarefoot [dot] com, expressing your interest in a pair of tickets. First come, first served–we’ve got four pairs of tickets to give away.
- You come to opening night, which is Friday, August 25 at 7:45 PM at the Victoria Event Centre. There will be tickets waiting for you at the door.
- If you’re so inclined, you can talk to the actors and/or myself after the show.
- You write a review of the show on your blog, linking to www.thisplayisbolloxed.com (and I’ll link back to the review). The review can be extremely brief (“Bolloxed was bollocks!”), brief (“The best thing I can say about Bolloxed is that the exits were clearly marked”) or a 1000-word treatise (use your imagination).
The only foible is that you have to procure $5 ‘visa buttons’ for yourself and your fellow Fringe-goer. I tried to sort it out, but there’s no easy way to buy these for you. You only pay for these once (they fund the administration of the festival, as all box office revenue goes to the performers), and you can buy them at the door to the show. Hopefully you’re going to attend other Fringe shows (I’ll be making some recommendations), so this won’t be much of a nuisance.
If you’re interested, drop me an email at darren [at] darrenbarefoot [dot] com. I’ll be making a similar offer to Vancouver bloggers in a couple of weeks.
UPDATE: I forgot to mention, here’s some media material.
UPDATE #2: Thanks to everybody for your interest–we’ve distributed all the Victoria tickets. Stay tuned for Vancouver.
Hmm may have to check that out (alas do not have a blog), but this is enough to pique my interest.
Heh.. “brief”.
please put me on the list for Vancouver
