Catch and Eat Your Dinner

Via Neatorama, this restaurant in Japan has reduced the time between the fish being caugh and fish being eaten to nearly zero:

At the restaurant Zauo you can help yourself, no really, you HAVE to help yourself.

“If you want it you first have to catch it.”

The middle of the restaurant is shaped like a boat and there are plenty of rooms alongside where catching can be a satisfying if unnerving experience for those will little experience fishing.

Check out the accompanying video (after the short ad for a grim-looking casino) of excited Japanese business people taking fish from the water straight into the frying pan.

Of course, the frying pan is mostly for show, because the fish is likely getting converted into sushi.
