Earlier today I saw the headline about how Stats Canada had released a study on Internet usage. The consequential articles were pretty predictable:
Overall, the findings indicate heavy users spend less time with friends and family, doing paid work, doing domestic work, playing sports, going to movies, sleeping, relaxing and even thinking. But they still enjoy participating in clubs, organizations and social activities and they describe having social networks equal in size to non-users.
I think that description could apply to a heavy anything user–steamshovel, platypus, methamphetamine.
Regardless, I was pleased to see our own Shane Birley and Allyson McGrane on the CBC this evening, talking about their Internet usage patterns. They did a great job, and their loft space looks pretty cool.
Too bad about that Chris Brown’s hair. Dude, just own the baldness. Shave it all off. Think Michael Stipe, Patrick Stewart and Seth Godin. That’s my plan when my hairline meets the top of my head. I plan to scare people with my enormous pate (Will?). When the sun hits it right, you’ll be able to see it from space.
Yes, I agree that if men are losing hair and it’s starting to look odd it’s better to shave the rest off. Bald is sexy. Patrick Stewart..yup…Vin Deisel..yup…
Too bad my name is Shane and not Sean. 🙂 I get it all the time…
