First, I dig digg. I check out popurls for all my diggity news a couple of times a day.
The news reporting on digg, however, is getting a little too granular for my liking. Consider this earth-shattering report:
Google Maps makes use of the mouse wheel
Google Maps has added a feature that makes use of the mouse wheel / button. Now you can zoom in and out by simply turning the wheel back and forth. You can also clear any map tags (balloon text) by pressing on the mouse wheel / button.
If you check out the screenshot, you’ll see that at least 1200 people thought this was worthwhile news to push to digg’s front page. What’s that old joke? “Small earthquake in Chile. Few dead.”
While I like the wisdom of crowds most of the time, occasionally I find myself pining for Slashdot and a little exertion of editorial control.
I heartily encourage everyone to digg this.
I’d digg it, but the first rule of digg: do not digg stories on digg stories.
Diggity diggity.
That’s funny, I thought the first rule was that friends don’t let friends digg digg stories.
