Here’s an amusing ten-minute mockumentary about a couple of nerdy Dungeons & Dragons players. It’s entertaining, and brings back some uncomfortable memories of early adolescence.
Have you ever been chased by the entire football team, simply because you chose to wear your cloak that day?
I’m not sure they mined all the comic possibilities (there are so many!), but it’s a job well done. Plus, the closing credits are really slick.
Haven’t watched it yet, but I have to say that nerds will be nerds, regardless of what they’re playing. My D&D group (which, if it passes 4 sessions, will be my longest ever) has a computer programmer, an MBA, a geologist turned blackjack dealer turned electrician, a sport program manager cum law student, and a registrar tech support type person. 3 of the 5 are girls, and I don’t think any of us are wearing cloaks around 😉
I never played D&D or any of its variants. That’s among the only non-geeky things about my childhood.
I hope those guys get together. Unfortunately, when I went to school, the D&D players were cooler than I was.
Truly excellent credits.
But I thought the humour was pretty obvious.
Reminded me of my first viewing of Fellowship… …when Legolas fatally shot the Cave Troll via the mouth, I found myself muttering “He rolled a ’20′” louder than I realised. I hate people who talk in movies.
In this case, far too many people around me laughed. Ahhh, opening day…
I thought it was so funny. i loved it!!
It was great~
