If I’m honest with myself, I write more negative reviews of stuff than positive ones on this site. Why’s that? Negative reviews are more fun to write, and their powered by my righteous indignation.
Today, I thought I’d feature a message I spotted on the Canucks Usenet (yes, I still read a Usenet group) about one happy Palm customer. He did an end-around past customer support, but he got fantastic results:
I get to work this morning 48 hours later and there is an email
waiting for me, with a reply from that mail, forwarded to someone more
local.They’re replacing the phone for free….sending me a brand new one
first…leaving me with 2 weeks to pull the data off the broken one, and
send that back to them. No shipping charges, no hidden fee…nothing.
Today’s lesson? Sometimes you have to be creative to get the tech support you deserve.
