I almost never hear about or read African blogs. Is this only because of the obvious technological and infrastructure limitations of the average African citizen, or because of social and cultural stigmas as well (for example, France is full of bloggers, but Germany is relatively blogger-free). I have no idea.
Regardless, I was pleased, then, to read about Blog Africa, which aggregates blogs from the entire continent:
The new version of BlogAfrica is going to be an unedited aggregator. What this means is that anything posted to any of the blogs in the aggregator will end up on the main page of BlogAfrica and in the RSS feed BlogAfrica offers as output. If you’re interested in what people are saying in Africa, the diaspora and the Afrophile community, you may want to bookmark the aggregator output page or subscribe to the RSS feed.
One blog I read regularly that’s related to Africa is Ethan Zuckerman’s. He’s got a list of African blogs in his blogroll.
