The Word on MovableType 3.2

Anil Dash is offering a lunchtime spiel on the new version of MovableType at the Blog Business Summit.

  • An admin component in the new version (a ‘system overview’ for supporting data about multiple blogs).
  • Apparently Adobe is using MT to run their new blogs.
  • They’ve got a nifty video that explains how the upgrade happens. It’s apparently really simple.
  • Emphasis here is on supporting all your blogs more fluidly.
  • Apparently taking steps to resolve spam issues. Anil claims that it “just does the right thing”. They’ve got a ‘junk’ folder model, similar to email spam fighting apps.
  • They’ve implemented ‘feedback scoring’–what does this look like?
  • They’ve apparently got over 100 new features.
  • Apparently you can output Wod, PDF or slideshow from MT.
  • Nice–every page of their user manual is comment-enabled.

  1. “Nice—every page of their user manual is comment-enabled.”

I’d like to see an example but couldn’t find on their site; can you please provide a link?

  2. You may have to wait until it comes out of Beta (which is soon, I think). The page indicates the current build is “officially unsupported”.
