After several days of surveying and 39 respondents, the results are in. For location, there was a dead heat between Spanish Banks and Jericho. Ultimately, we’re going to go with Jericho, as it’s closer for those without cars. Here are the official details:

We’ll meet at the benches in front of the Jericho Beach Hostel. If you’re late or too cool to be there by 1:15pm, I’ll leave a note taped to the bench explaining where we’ve gone. If that fails, you can always reach me on my mobile at 604.727.5345.
Kids of all ages are welcome. So too are non-blogging spouses, friends, blog readers, non-blog readers or writers, visiting Bulgarian aunts and sundry other hangers-on. If you want to pick up a couple of cute Finns from the hostel, all power to you.
As for food, I think bring your own is the best course of action. If you want to bring extra to share, that’s great. If you don’t bring any, don’t blame me if you go hungry (though I suspect there are concessions in the area).
Feel free to bring any recreational items which you think might be fun–bocce balls, croquet, lawn darts, bongs, balls of all sizes, what-have-you. I’ll bring a couple of frisbees disks. We’ll also schedule a game of Rolly Polly Soccer for 3:00pm, for those who are interested in joining in.
If the Gods frown on us and it rains, this event is cancelled.

Ants ate my entire family. Now they’re GONE!
The toilets were too far away, and I couldn’t hold it. Ran into the woods, did my business, reached for a leaf to act as toilet paper… and grabbed poison ivy. Didn’t realize it until too late.
Nothing to do except for football, and no shade.
Every day I don’t picnic.
