Beyond Robson?

Paolo at Immutably Me points me to this listing on Craig’s List:

Looking to get in on the ground floor of the hottest new web site to hit
Vancouver? In early August, Beyond Robson, a blog about Vancouver
culture will launch and we’re looking for bloggers to join the team. If
you’re passionate and plugged-in to Vancouver culture and can blog up to
5-7 times a week about subjects like music, film, fashion, the arts,
food/restaurants, bars/clubs/nightlife, sports and outdoors, or city
issues and politics then we want to hear from you!

I note with some irony that BeyondRobson.com (if that’s the future URL) is registered to somebody in Toronto. Regardless, they’re apparently looking for bloggers to participate–watch out, Urban Vancouver.

  1. Speaking of being beyond Robson, can anyone tell me where the apartment in Robson Arms is? I’m sure they built a false front and that the backdrop is comped.

  2. The actual building is out by Boundary. It’s an old old folks home, that’s now a set. They use CGI for the skyline backdrop. If there’s an address, a producer told me, it would be on Pendrell.

  3. Culture in Vancouver? The owner of that blog must certainly be from out of town. (Unless you consider fashion to be rad pants from MEC and the bar scene to be a big sandy area you can park your kayak on)

  4. The actual building is at 951 Boundary Road (the Vancouver side) right next to Adanac Park. It is currently an unoccupied building on the City of Vancouver’s heritage building registry, the name of the building being Taylor Manor (it was originally built in 1913 and was intended to be the residence for the then Mayor, Louis D. Taylor).
