As you no doubt know (because of their very impressive media campaign), the Sea Vancouver festival runs this weekend. There are a bunch of tallships in town, and related maritime events.
One such event is Lifeboat (scroll to the bottom), a site-specific play loosely based on the Alfred Hitchcock film of the same name. My friend John Verhoeven did the adaptation, and my friend Matthew Bissett directed. I saw the afternoon, and certainly enjoyed the unique location. The entire play takes place in a small boat in the cover beside the Maritime Museum. The audiences watches from some bleachers on the beach. If you’re going to the festival, I’d definitely recommend you check it out.
I took some photos, of the play and of my walk home.
