That’s a bit worrying…what do they know that I don’t? Is there some kind of message about the time-space continuum (eddies, maybe?) in that paragraph, if I read between the lines?

Is Eddie leaving messages in the time-space continuum again? I don’t know how many times I’ve told him not to – that boy just doesn’t listen.
I heard tonight that all the ferries on the main routes are going to be given an extra 10 minutes for their departure times, due to the time involved in loading in summmer. So 6:30, 8:40, 9:50, etc. Perhaps they emailed everyone in the reservations database and it’s just that your route didn’t change. (And their co-op student or what-have-you didn’t know to remove you from the list.)
