Here’s an extremely goofy American news piece (WMV only, I’m afraid) that contains some sound advice: buy homes, cars, toys, instruments and CDs/DVDs used instead of new. The broadcaster, one Clark Howard, is dancing around like a trained monkey, but that’s reasonable logic. Mind you, I bought my apartment new, and (at least according to a recent appraisal), I’m doing all right.

Yeah, Clark Howard is known around here for his deals and consumer savvy advice. He is a little eccentric though. 🙂
I am still kicking myself for not taking advantage of his deal in January for ATL -> YVR roundtrip for $125-ish US. He can find some good deals on things, that’s for sure.
I’m just sorry you had to endure our local newscast to see it. 🙂
