More German World War II Radios Than You’d Ever Need

It’s been too long since I mentioned a large collection of something obscure. Today, it’s German World War I and II radios. I forget where I got this link from, but the writer commented that they were kind of beautiful. They’re right–they are fetching in a geeky sort of way:

Here is my German radio collection. The technology and actual construction of these radios is extremely advanced and
intricate. I have a background in both mechanic and electronic engineering
and work with product development – many of my ideas have come from my experiences with the radios.

The remarkable part is that they’re apparently all still operational.

  1. Some of those are pretty cool. I like the one that communicates on a beam of light. Pretty funky technology for the 1940’s.

Does the fact that I find those interesting make me some kind of geek?
