I’m Back in Vancouver

After a whirlwind tour of Madrid and Dublin (as well as the charming Amsterdam airport), I’m back in Vancouver for a few days. We had an extremely hectic week in Dublin, with lots of new and existing client meetings. The business side of things was promising–we certainly paid for the trip. It was a pleasure to stay with our good friends Ger and Karl, and to be able to see lots of other Irish friends and colleagues, if only briefly.

There wasn’t a lot of time for photography, but I’ve posted 48 pictures from the week. Many of them were taken at two great Dublin markets–the George Street Arcade and the Saturday Temple Bar Market. The latter features the best crepes on the planet. Other stand-out photos are this box o’ turkish delight, a Habs sticker on a Vespa and this robot making a phone call. The robot was promoting Meteor, a cell phone company, on Grafton Street. There was definitely a man inside it, but it was a pretty remarkable performance. It was fully-articulated, and there were synchronized sound effects that made for a pretty compelling, er, marketing event.

  1. Hi Darren,
Those pictures look amazing! We’re leaving Thursday to London for the weekend and then on to Dublin for a week. Thanks for the preview! We’ll have to check out the markets.
    Cheers,
    Julie
