Alenahra (those Brazilians have lovely names) writes to point to a Flickr group called Words on Skin. Among the photos there are three great sentence tattoo:
- A cool adaptation (tasteful, but slightly unsafe for work) of a couple Shakspeare lines.
- Some latin from Goethe’s Faust. Apparently “the words the Serpent said to tempt Eve”.
- From Alenahra herself, a great Whitman quote: “Afoot and light-hearted I take to the open road”.
I should have noted that this post follows up on last week’s (surprisingly popular) post on textual tattoos.
Thanks, Darren!
(Alenahra is, in fact, the first part of my name – Alessandra – plus my last name Nahra – which is from past family connections in Lebanon).
