What Movie Should I See Today?

You’ve probably got about an hour (it’s now 11:15am) to vote. And, I warn you, I may ignore the results. Assuming anyone votes.

UPDATE: A full 38% of you suggested that I go see Hotel Rwanda, so I’m all over that.

  1. HoFD really, really bad? hmmm. I guess taste is a matter of taste. I thought it was incredibly beautiful. I got misty. In Good Company and $1M Baby were also good. Baby was a movie to be relished. I thought about it for a week afterward. IGC was much more light, but delightful especially for the acting, which was great. And Scarlett (as well as Quaid and Grace) are very easy on the eyes. It’s from the same director and writing and production team as did About a Boy. Also Paul and Chris Weitz starred, as a the former best friend and the actor playing the former best friend in a play in a movie called Chuck and Buck. Of course, Hotel Rwanda has everyone talking. You probably can’t miss. And I’ve probably gone on far too long in this comment. Enjoy!

  2. I didn’t vote because I was torn. I wanted you to see something Oscar nominated so you could comment on it, but I also wanted you to see Childstar in order to support Canadian film. It’s Childstar’s first weekend, so if more people go this weekend, it might stay in the theatre longer.

  3. Oh, is that what Childstar is? I thought I was voting for Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star. Now I understand why Darren was even considering it.
