Surf Sister

Surf Sister Surf School is Canada’s only all women’s surf school:

We are dedicated to promoting women’s surfing in Tofino and worldwide. Our goal is not to exclude men from our lessons, but rather to make sure that women feel included when trying surfing in Tofino for the first time. Surf Sister introduces women (and men!) of all ages and abilities to the sport of surfing in a safe, fun, and supportive environment.

I’ve got a friend who went on an overnight surf-and-yoga excursion and had a great time. Checking out their press page, it looks like they’ve done a great job of promoting themselves. It’s so much easier to get media attention, though, when you’ve got an original and compelling story to tell.
