Link Round-Up: Phat Phreaky Phriday Phun

Cause the kids don’t use ‘f’ anymore.

  • The
    llama song
. I’m at a loss for words. "Doorknob ankle cold."
  • Finally, a faster way to tie
    my shoes
    .
  • Great portraiture
    photography
    .
  • Those nutters over in SecondLife (a non-violent MMPORG) created a
    remarkable Neverland theme park
. Speaking of MMPORGs, I enjoyed Cory Doctorow’s
    recent
    short story
    which takes place inside one.
  • A chimp that does
    karate
    . Sigh.

  • An interesting (if hopeful) look at the
    future of the media
    .
  • Hey, buddy, wanna buy
    a castle
    ? If only my
    ancestral home
    was on the market.
  • Popgadget: personal
tech for women. I’ve enjoyed reading this blog, and it’s where I recently
    learned about the
    Knork
. Yes, it’s exactly what you think it is.
  • The definitive guide to calling
    shotgun
. The amendments at the bottom of the page are great. For example,
"Amendment XXXV: Language – If you reside in a non-English-speaking locale, Shotgun must be called by
its native word. For instance, in Sweden, the word ‘Hagelbossa’ must be pronounced,
    while in Germany, ‘Schrotflinte’."
  • Almost an
    anti-game Web game
. Still, strangely entrancing. Trust your instincts.
I got to 107 points without losing any error points, got bored and stopped.

  1. funny thing about the Ian knot, I learned about this knot in a high angle/confined space rescue course that i took in North Van 4 years ago. We didn’t call it the Ian knot tho: to us it was the “California Love Knot” because it was good as a pseudo set of “handcuffs”. Used to keep a patient’s hands within a stretcher so they can be lowered safely down structures or used to put on people’s feet so they can be extracted from tight spots like pipes.
