Although they’ve already been eliminated from the World Cup finals, Canada’s mens team beat Guatemala in Guatemala City late Wednesday 1-0. Dwayne de Rosario scored a spectacular goal from well outside the box. The game wasn’t televised in Canada. The sports networks were no doubt showing some high pressure Texas Hold’em tournament. My brother sent me a video clip of the excellent goal.

Yeah, that was nice bit of skill – thanks for the clip. We’ll get ’em in 2008. Meantime, it’s back to the standby of cheering for Ireland.
