Backup Batteries in an Altoids Tin

Via KleffmanStyle, here’s a cool backup battery pack for your iPod. That’s 10 hours of listening pleasure encased in an Altoids tin:

I got some new Altoids tins, borrowed a Dremel tool from Mitchell, and purchased brand new firewire connectors from NTC. Here’s my second, cleaner, tighter, much nicer attempt at a sweet external battery pack for iPod.

To follow the thread of invention backwards, here’s an earlier attempt and the original battery-in-a-deck-of-cards. One commenter on the site makes a valuable point: “Don’t ever bring this to an airport with you if you plan on getting to your destination any time soon.”
