On November 18 at 5:30pm, Roland Tanglao and I are going to be speaking at the Vancouver Film School as part of New Media BC’s series of marketing seminars. The topic is ‘Building 21st Century Websites with Weblogs and RSS’, and the spiel goes something like this:
Weblogs and RSS have emerged as a critical marketing and public relations tool for small business. They enable you to bring your website alive, transforming it from simply an online brochure to an ongoing dialogue with your customers. Learn what they are, how they work and what tangible business benefits you can realize from these new, easy-to-use technologies.
Roland’s going to cover the technical bits and I’ll discuss the marketing and PR benefits of blogs and RSS.
I mention all this now because I happen to have an extra guest pass. Entry is regularly CAN $25 for members and CAN $35 for non-members, but the first person who emails me gets the free pass. Note that I said ’emails’, not ‘comments’. How bad would it look if I said ‘leave a comment if you want to come’ and no one did?
UPDATE: Travis, who was up way too late for a Sunday, emailed me and got the guest pass.
