As I’ve gotten older, my interest in music videos has waned. I used to dig them, but the balkanization of pop has meant that I only like 10 or 15% of the music being played on MuchMusic (and it’s VH1, MuchMoreMusic). While I dig looking at the butt-shaking fly girls as much as the next guy, the music rarely does anything for me.
Via Coudal Partners, I did discover a new video called ‘Naked as we Came’ from the fine (how to describe them?) contemplative bluegrass Iron & Wine. It’s a classic anti-video, featuring very little narrative and nobody in the band. Plus, it’s a lovely song.
