Blogger Meet-up Round-up Up

Thanks to the 20-odd people who came out last night to the Morrissey for the first semi-annual meet-up thingy. Much beer was consumed, introductions included URLs, topics of a non-geeky nature were occasionally discussed and everyone seemed to have a good time. We ought to organize another one in the fall. Somebody was waving around a camera, so I’ll link to those photos should they emerge.

The Morrissey, it turns out, was a decent choice. It’s a hotel pub, so it wasn’t exactly packed on Thursday night. This was good, as we needed to take over a largish section in the back. They need more of those big leather chairs, though.

After the jump, I’m going to try to include everybody’s name and URL who attended, for posterity. I totally ripping off Colene here, but I expect she’ll forgive me. Hope that clover mayo works out for you, there.

Gill (she’s between blogs at the moment)

I’m clearly missing a couple of people. Apologies, and leave a comment to upbraid me.

UPDATE: Apparently it was Richard 1 (who, in my opinion, bears a striking resemblance to Mark Addy) who had the camera, for here come the photos.

  1. Sadly, I could not attend due to a prior commitment. Sounds like you all had a lot of fun.

Any chance there might be a mailing list for future Vancouver blogger gatherings? Or should I just keep monitoring the blogs?

  2. Heh. So I mis-spelled Morrissey of course. But I went and grabbed Richard’s pictures, because they really were gigantic.

And stuck them all in a Vancouver Webloggers group on Flickr. This picture is also quite cool — please add notes for the two faces I’m missing.

  3. thanks for introducing the morrissey to me (minus clover mayo) and it was good to finally meet you.
