I’m sitting in my apartment reading the paper. From 25 floors down, I hear a crunch, a screech, and a really loud bang. I didn’t see what happened, but some guy flipped his SUV near the corner of Richards and Drake. As you can see, his over-priced gas guzzler (karma at work, perhaps?) landed right in front of the local ambulance dispatch office. I scrambled to call 911, but it wasn’t necessary. About ten seconds later, two or three ambulance attendants wandered out with their gear to help the driver, who appeared to be all right.
Eventually the fire department and a couple of tow-trucks showed up. There are a couple more photos after the jump:

How the hell do you flip an SUV in downtown traffic? What a tool.
What a jackass.
rofl!
I think it’s funny how such a ‘blog-worthy’ event occured right at your door-step.
Oh brother… Now I’ve seen it all. Craziness!
I was a fire fighter/medic for 9 years and have a raftload of stories that just make you wonder;
…the guy who ran a 3/4″ wood drill through his hand, so he drove to the fire station to get help…with the drillbit through his hand and in to the 2×4.
…or the time the phone rang in the station. The voice on the other end screamed “Help! Help, my house is on fire!! [click]”. We waited about five minutes for the neighbors to notice and call 911.
…or…
It’s not karma for driving an SUV. It’s karma for driving like a complete idiot.
