…and Todd freakin’ Bertuzzi is on the cover of the Vancouver Sun. For the non-local readers, he’s the hockey player who illegally struck another player–Steve Moore–from behind. In the resulting fall, Moore was seriously injured. Bertuzzi is being charged with assault by Vancouver police.
Todd, baby, please plead guilty and spare us the five-ring media circus and ensuing debates in every coffee bar and sushi joint in the city. Take your community service on the chin and have done with it.

You know, I take a ribbing from friends and relatives (Bertuzzis wifes parents is friends with my in-laws) but I say good on the police for pressing charges. They need to clean up hockey and I completely agree about pleading guilty…although he’ll only get a slap on the wrist.
