Fake IDs Go High-Tech

I never owned a fake ID. One of my classmates, Ted, was fortunate enough to have had an error made on his driver’s license. It added two years to his age, so that in Grade 12 he could buy alcohol for, well, everybody.

I always assumed that you bought fake IDs from a dodgy-looking weasal of a man down some dark alley in the wrong part of time. At least that’s how it was done in the old days. I read in the Vancouver Sun today that things have gone decidedly high tech (no link, as it requires registration, but here’s a similar article from an Ontario paper).

Digital Products will make you a fake drivers license or other ID from 34 states and seven provinces, including BC. In fact, my fellow British Columbians and I should take pride, as we’re the top-selling Canadian province. They look very realistic, and include the hologram and the magnetic strips of actual licenses. All for US $90.

So now that under-age kids can get both porn and liquor (indirectly) over the Internet, what coming-of-age trials are left? When they’re all grown up, will today’s youths wax nostalgic about the day their WiFi router broke?

  1. I just wonder how those BC ID’s will work once barwatch has installed their planned ID card readers at bars around the city. While the magnetic strip can *look* real, will it actually contain the information that will render it truly legit?

  7. I bought a card from that id wizzard and it’s hard to tell which is my real vs fake when I hold them side by side. They are expensive *a little to much if you ask me* but then again according to a friend it’s the best fake id he’s ever seen and I can’t tell the difference between them.

  10. I’m a bouncer and these cards are getting harder to tell there fake, the one thing that gives them away is the micro script- it’s all about the resolution of the printers I guess.

  12. I got a ID from id wizzard a couple months ago and she screwed it up she had me listed as male. They gave me a free card that was right though. I didn’t notice at first then in front of the roxy the bouncer told me I didn’t look like a guy and I told him that I wasn’t we were both confused but then he let me in because I told him it must of been a error and I just got my card in the mail. LOL

  17. Ok so I tried scanning it through my works magnetic card reader and it shows all the same stuff my regular DL does when scanned- I have been to place’s with “barwatch” and have not had any problems so I assume that means that it is scannable 🙂

I got mine from idwizzard and the letters on the id are not raised like they are on a real BC drivers license (you know how if you touch the card you can feel the writing on it) and the holograms on the front where the little pic is and on the back are very dull. How is it possible that the BC one that you got actually works at places?!?!! lol did you get it from the same place as me??

Lol, ok let me clear this up a bit. “susan” is a story of her own- she sent me 4 emails one after another demanding to pay less then what we charge and when I told her that she has to pay the same price as everybody else she started complaining and I told her to take her business elsewhere yet then she really wanted a card so against my better judgment I helped. The day after she got her card she was happy and then I got a email demanding that I give her a free exchange because I added .3kg to her weight so instead of 52kg it was 52.3kg which is the correct format for weight on the card she wanted. She was unhappy that she couldn’t haggle the price down and has been complaining since. I will gladly help anybody who emails me but understand that the prices are FIRM even if your a princess.

I got the BC one and it looks totally fake and is completely useless now. I’m such an idiot for not realizing that anybody can post on here with any name and most of the comments praising how good their novelty ids were most likely written by themselves so they can trick innocent people, and it definitely worked because I did end up getting one. But whoever is on here actually looking for a good ID don’t trust idwizzard09 at yahoo dot com, they’re just scammers.

  29. She is just cheesed because she couldn’t get her card for $50 cheaper. Lol scammers are people who don’t give you anything- your card has holos,UV and microprint on it. The only thing that it does not have is a raised name and signature but maybe if you had not demanded a cheaper price then I would of taken a little more time on your card. Your lucky I even dealt with you in the first place, if you want to haggle – go to the flea market. According to the delivery guy- you didn’t even pay for it, you put up a fuss and your boyfriend payed for it. kids these days…

    I don’t know whos who on here anymore and I don’t believe that this forum is not going to clear anything else up. You can complain all you want but the fact is we are not scammers- you got your card with everything stated. I can tell that you have enough time to make this a crusade so there’s really nothing else that I can say other then hope you take and chill brake and enjoy your card.

    1. They made me an Alberta one for $100.00 and it looks prety dam real !! I used it at the liquar store and for smokes, works like a charm !! Good deal !! Hard to find anyone who makes them in this town anymore.

  34. I know in Canada fake id’s are only illegal to use, not to make or have. People need to learn what the law is. So if you put your real name and real address like some of my really stupid friends on a card and your card get taken away, there is a good chance you will loose your license and you might get a fine but if your name on the card is fake and you try to use the card you are breaking the law. It’s a fine line. Be careful with who you deal with when it comes to fake id because you really don’t know where the cards are coming from and who sees your data.

My friend “who’s really really stupid” used her real name and address on her fake id and now found pictures of her fake id posted on the website that she got the card from, they are using her card as a example and I guess a cop or somebody from the DMV saw it and investigated. People don’t think very far ahead now a days.

    I have lost $400 on 4 different websites and I am really getting sick of this. Does anybody know a real ID maker that is real and not a scammer?

    Is the only way that I am really going to be able to get a novelty ID is if I go to BC? because I can’t find ANYWHERE ELSE

  48. I just got a card from that idwizzard email and it’s decent, it’s very close to my real card. I have another one that I bought from a tattoo shop in Toronto thats not nearly as good. I like the fact that if you recommend friends to them you get free cards.

  49. i have ordered from idwizzard, ids are useful, they have worked for my purposes on multiple occasions. We all have different opinions on quality, one thing for sure is idwizzard is not a scammer; you order a card, you get it. They are good quality, however, they are distinguishable from a real one after close-up. If you are only using these to enter bars, 100% they will work, on the other hand, if you are trying to use them where they will be closely scrutinized there is a higher probability that someone will recognize the fake.

    Dude that met me was nice, I don’t think that these guys are scammers and I am glad that I found this forum because I have been looking for ID for a while and I don’t like the idea of sending money to someone through the mail.

  53. idwizard people aren’t running anymore, there cards said that they were novelty replicas on the backs anyways, there is a much better place to get cards from its a girl in richmond that a couple of friends got cards from, I think her email address was dmvquality at hotmail or something like that.

  61. I need one so bad, does any know of a place that I can go into and look at the cards before buying one?
    I tried making one and it turned out like crap, people of youtube make it look so easy with teslin but by the time I bought the laminator and the materials costed the whole thing costed me $200+
    the card looked good but not real, I used perlx for the hologram and it looks nothing like the real hologram. Very frustrating, I am looking for a source to get a card from and two friends of mine both bought cards from “idwizard” but I don’t want to spend that kind of money compared to what I have already spent on trying

  69. These IDs are no match for The Advanced ID Detection System they catch all of them. They catch all the ID Chief IDs as well. So if you see a decal on the front door stating “warning Under 21 the Advanced ID Detection System is in use in this location. Go the other way it will catch your ID. All of Canada, United States, and Mexico is covered.

IDwizard09 is pretty good the only thing that’s not identical is the feel of the card (which is easily corrected by lightly rubbing sand paper over it to get that soft feeling), the face picture doesnt have the watermark from the background trailing off over the face, and on the back on the side theres no numbers by the second barcode thing (which isn’t even noticeable). But overall they’re realllllllllly good.

  97. It was a old california with no hologram or uv. I don’t think I was even born when this type of card was being used, it was laminated teslin “I did a bit of research on fake ids” which costs 1.10 a sheet and he charged me $150. What a waste of money!

Whoever is in control of the email now replied asking for all the info needed to create a card, and I don’t feel like sending my name and picture to a cop or something

I got my BC new version drivers license from idwizzrd09 last year in December i think it was great quality with raised print and all ,I would rate quality 9/10 I am now looking for an Ontario drivers also…has anyone been in touch with him lately is he still in business and has anyone seen the Ontario drivers at the time I ordered mine the Ontario did not have all the correct security features yet like raised print and the micro print etc like the high quality BC ones he was making

  109. some of my friends ordered from idwizzard09 and out of all the cards they ordered, the Alberta deluxe is they highest quality they offer in my opinion. They don’t normally list it when you email them.. you kinda have to ask for it

      1. Don’t bother ordering from them ( idwizzard09@yahoo.com ). They’ll just take your money and you won’t get shit. Nothing a shitty fake one. I’ve ordered from them 1 month ago and got nothing. Not even an envelop with a stamp on it. Save your money. Best to buy in person.

I was really hesitant about purchasing a fake and not dealing with the matter in person, but I was so desperate for an id that I went against my better judgement and wasted my hard earned money on NADA. They won’t even message me back now that they’ve collected my money. It’s my fault for being so naive but whatever, hopefully people will learn from this.
