Too cool… thank you!
The contrast in the photo makes it look almost like an infrared image. I’ve always been a fan of Ansel Adams’ work, mostly for the starkness of the images.
I think what “makes” it for me is the mallard in the foreground that is looking at us. All the other ducks are pecking away, but he’s stopped and is wondering why we are here.
I like making up stories to go with pictures and paintings. One of my all time favorites for this is Edward Hopper’s “Nighthawks”. I can stare at that painting for hours and just wonder who the people are, where they are going, what they are thinking…

Also, thanks for your site. I’ve come to enjoy it as a brief respite from the usual slogging back and forth of my day.
Also also, happy birthday!
Re: Birthday. Oops, happy birthday to Julie (?), not you… 🙂
I’ve had 5-6 people at my desk since I put up the Duck Row wallpaper, and all of them think it’s fantastic. It is rapidly spreading around the office…
Is it too late for you to copyright it and sell?
Thanks, Winston, but I couldn’t be bothered, really. Share and share alike, I say.
