Via Fark, I found this nifty site that offers do-it-yourself Star Wars props. While surfing around the site, I found this photo:

Check out that dude on the right. Why did he choose to dress as, like, imperial lieutenant #317? In the movies, these guys are typically thrown across the bridge in an explosion or just remotely strangled by the guy on the left. I don’t even think he’s got a weapon. Points for originality, I suppose, but, c’mon man, get some cajones.
Maybe he just likes being in Uniform, heh.
Are we surprised there’s not a female in sight?
Who plays Leia?
This is my favorite fan boy pic ever i think.

That picture is from the San Diego Comic-Con. There are females in costume. Of course, I saw female pirates and a couple of random alien types, but no Leia’s in bikinis. (That’s probably for their own safety, though.)
Actually, there are a lot of girls in anime costumes, come to think of it. It’s what all the cool kids are into these days.
Actually, the male:female ratio has been getting better and better at the con these past few years. I almost got trampled by a gang of female teenagers trying to get into the SMALLVILLE presentation on Saturday morning of the con last year.

I love the Elvis riff on Han Solo. That is part of the costume, right? And for the record, TK-409 is a hottie.
Herb: That photo rocks. It’s like Reservoir Dogs meets Trekker fanboys.
Todd: He might be doing Elvis…I actually thought it was a variation on this pose:

Yeesh…that really lays bare my geekiness.
