Link Round-Up: Site Specific

Love Everything points to a fine series of top ten lists on the video game
news site GameSpy. Several
of these took me on nostalgic, pixelated walks down video lane:

• Oddly, I’m only familiar with a couple of the Top
  Ten Babes in Games. Clearly, I’m playing the wrong games.
• Top
  Ten Dying Game Genres is particularly observant, and makes me pine for
  the sideways shooter or beat ’em up classics like River City Ransom.
• I’m loving the camp quality of Top
  Ten Video Game Movies. Truly a wasteland of exceptionally awful cinema
  (Milla Jovovich’s zombie-fighting
  teddy notwithanding).
• This is a bit obsessive even for me: Top
  Ten Worst Covers. Nobody looks at the box once they’ve opened it. Hmm….I
  may have just coined a maxim.
• Alas, poor Yoshi! I knew him, Mario: a fellow of infinite jest…Here hung
  those lizard lips that I have kissed I know not how oft. Top
  Ten Videogame Sidekicks.
