For those of you who have eschewed Internet Explorer and are using a Mozilla browser (and more of you should be), here’s a bit of niftiness I accidentally discovered. In the address box, if you type ‘google spork’, it will automagically show you the Google results page for ‘spork’.
I guess everybody on the planet might already know this, but it was news to me. This works in Mozilla Firebird…I don’t know if it works with all Mozilla browsers.
You’ve got an open link tag somewhere, dude…your whole entry is underlined.
Thanks for that. Ironically, this error wasn’t displayed in Mozilla Firebird, only IE.
– ‘about:config’
– ‘Control + Click’ (selection of region, block, cell, row, whatever)
– ‘/’ + text, vi-like search.
– Look for CopyImage plugin to copy images to clipboard.

I just type in my search terms, hit the down arrow a couple of times, and then ENTER. I set Google up as my preferred search engine in preferences.

Opera ships with a bunch of shortcuts to common searches – g + a search term for google, z + search term for amazon, and so on. The best part is that they search engines and shortcut letters are configurable so you can, for example, search amazon.ca instead of amazon.com for books.
You can configure your own searches in Firebird, so that things like “dict firebird” looks up Dictionary.com for “firebird”.
