My wife recently went to Victoria, and took some photos. They are, in part, a sort of essay on all the places she lived in:
- UVic housing
- A gorgeous mansion in Fairfield (which, when I make my first five million, I intend to purchase).
- A rickety heritage house in a dodgy neighbourhood.
- My apartment, where I lived (with various roommates, including her) for seven years. That’s a long time to live in the Chestnut Grove.
Remind me where Chestnut Grove is again? It looks extremely familiar. (Another former Victoria-ite here).
It’s on Begbie St, which is what Shelbourne street becomes as it turns from south to south-west as you’re heading into town. Begbie then becomes…what…Pandora? Yates? My apartment building was just as it turned south-west. Hope that helps. DB.
